A seminal work recommended for any beginning or advanced business owner. The authors theory is that most entrepreneurs fail because they do not systematize their approach.
I have a bit of my own theory which relates to my "Attack Your Weak Link" coaching concept. I think that Gerber makes a valid point as to why business owners so often fail. But to me I firmly believe most entrepreneurs fail because of one or two weak link 'chinks in their armor'. Maybe they were good at marketing but not accounting or vice versa. Or maybe their personal/home life was distracting them from being able to put in the hours they needed to make things a success in the early years.
